The Swabian food is amazing even though it is even more difficult to take away. The medium fried roast beef tender and tasty as well as schnitzel and pork medallions. The size of the side salad is almost a main course! By the way, the owner is really nice and has promised us a "pick-up time", which was actually already taken because we have small children and could not have picked them up later! 5 stars fully deserved. We'll be back, even after the lockdown!

Delicious... We love to eat there, especially the mixed mushroom cream soup as a starter is very tasty. :)) Of course, other dishes are also very tasty.

Very nice family with a menu from the front to the back with classic Swabian dishes, so the decision took a long time. After a little advice from the boss we got the very tasty Flädle soup and the dumpling with cayenne pepper sauce and potato salad (absolutely great dish 😍). The main dishes, onion roast perfect medium, you don't even need a knife for the veal cream roast and the spaetzle was a dream. I'm annoyed that I wasn't there yesterday ... Highly recommended 👍

Very good food, with reasonable prices and good service. We recommend. First impression, place as old as the name, but it has something special.

Typically boring Swabian kitchens. For that really top what is served. Meat on the spot with beautiful salad plates. The prices are in the upper middle range. A very nice aspect is that you definitely don't leave the restaurant hungry, the portion amounts are more like calculated. So price performance is very good. The staff is very nice and friendly but seems a bit awkward when there are a large number of guests. Reserves are recommended, especially for smaller groups.

Been there at Christmas, food was very very good! Side salad lush, fresh and very good. Unfortunately there was no vegetarian dish. Interior decoration needs renovation. Staff very accommodating except for a lady. We'll be back anyway :-)

Eat okay, organization but a disaster: we reserved for 20 people: main courses came after 1.5 hours, between the distribute the 1st and the last food over 30 minutes. And we were told on a regular basis, that this is so knows. But in the end apologized and eating was good!

It is quite casually added to a free space at a staffed table and no one bothers about it. Very sympathic. The food is hearty Swabian and really well done. The prices are completely ok. I had cheese spaetzle with a big salad plate for 11,90. And, as it should be in Swabia, with gravy. Really tasty. The meat dishes were a bit more expensive, but also looked very good.

What at first glance looks like a village pub turned out to be an exquisite restaurant. The food was great with decent portions. Civic but perfectly prepared. You have to expect to be seated at a table with others. I was traveling alone on business and was seated at a table with other business travelers. What led to a nice conversation.

Great food, friendly and absolutely amazing service.

I have eaten there during a business trip. The atmosphere is a bit "old style", cozy but the food is really good and good quality. Meals are traditional from this region. The meat was great. Waiter can speak english and is quite sympathic so i would definitely recommand this place to have a good meal. However i would not it a lively place but welcoming instead.

Nice restaurant with great food

If you want authentic German food, a cozy location, and great service from Boris and his family; you can't go wrong with the Graf Zeppelin. Try the schnitzel or maultaschen and you will fall in love. Great food, great beer, and great people.

My wife and I had the opportunity to dine at the Graf Zeppelin Restaurant.We made our selection from their special menu for asparagus. We hit the Jackpot.It turned out to be the greatest Asparagus meal we have ever had.The service was flawless and it prompted us to return the next day for a repeat performance. Absolutely fantastic!Who said there is no Gourmet Food to be found in Esslingen?
